Never has there been a greater need for the training of faithful men to proclaim the saving message of the gospel to our nation and to the world. At no time in recent history has there been a greater need for the churches of Christ to have qualified, faithful men of the Word of God in the pulpits of this blessed country. Also, there is an urgent need to offer quality leadership training for the local churches as well as provide advanced Biblical Studies to men and women who seek to increase their knowledge of God’s eternal Word.

The purpose of the Online Academy of Biblical Studies (OABS) is to fulfill a definite need within the churches of Christ. Our great brotherhood is blessed with some excellent schools of preaching that are true to the once and for all delivered faith. We strongly support these. However, there are individuals in our country and around the world who desire to attend such a school, but for various reasons are unable to do so. In order to fill this need OABS was implemented.

The OABS is just what the name suggests. It is a school which emphasizes the Bible and related subjects. It is online. That is, it is accessed through the Internet. Therefore, every person in the world who has good access to the Internet will have the ability to participate in OABS.

How Shall They Hear? “Preach the Gospel to every creature” is a charge current in every generation until the end of time. Admittedly, reaching every soul with the message of salvation is challenging, considering the world’s population of over six billion could double by the year 2040! Coupled with the fact that about a hundred precious souls are dying every minute, the problem the Lord’s people face in reaching a world rapidly rushing into eternity is obvious. However, since God desires that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, we must believe He has given His people the power and potential to solve the problem of reaching every soul with the truth. A large part of the solution to the problem is now in production..."GOSPEL BROADCASTING NETWORK"...a satellite network, broadcasting the truth and nothing but the truth, 24 hours a day, seven days a week...

Apologetics Press

In the late 1970s, there was a need to make available more scripturally sound and scientifically accurate materials in the field of Christian apologetics. The idea for Apologetics Press was born—an idea that soon became a reality. The necessary legal steps then were taken to allow the work to be recognized as non-profit and tax-exempt by both State and Federal governments. In 1985, Apologetics Press moved into its own custom-built, 11,000-square-foot building that was debt free upon completion. Financial records are managed by certified public accountants, who also submit to the appropriate agencies all documentation required by State and Federal law.
